  • Seven Steps to Conscious Change
  • Greetings,

Change can be difficult especially when you don't feel ready. Life often times pushes us to change when part of our life is not working. Changing on a time frame of your own choosing is the preferred way to change. This is what I mean by "conscious change". In this newsletter I will walk you through the "Seven Steps to Conscious Change".

Read the article below and make some changes happen in your life!!

    Spend some time daydreaming.
Daydreaming with an intention is a form of self hypnosis.

    Seven Steps to Conscious Change

    1. The first step is to get upset, to no longer want what you've got.
To make a decision. When you finally get sick of being the way you are it's easier to change, you get leverage on yourself.

    2. Decide what you want, the goal and commit.
To change anything you need to know what you want. To create a goal gives focus to the mind. To have a goal be inspiring its important to be able to imagine yourself having the goal. It's also important to have a limited number of specific goals. Everyone has probably had the experience of making New Years Resolutions. The intention is good, putting it into practice is something else. Making 5-10 general life goals at once is a recipe for failure.

    3. Create a plan.
Without a plan you are moving in many directions without focus. Focus is a concentration of available energy and is a catalyst for change.

    4. Figure out the obstacles.
This is the step where many people find challenges. Internal obstacles like negative beliefs, internal conflict and self-sabotage tend to rise to the surface of our minds. This is also where finding positive resources becomes important. Increasing levels of confidence, energy and focus really can be the key to push beyond the obstacles.

    5. Get resources, support, coaching, training etc.
Often times we need some help to get us to the level where we can move forward consistently. Finding a coach, taking a class or just reading a book can be incredibly motivating and supportive.

    6. Take massive consistent action!
You have everything you need to succeed and now taking action is the key to pulling it all together. This is the place where many people stumble. Fear of Failure, rejection etc. are key issues with this step.

    7. It's not failure, it's feedback.
If something isn't working change it. Failure creates distinctions so that you can create more success. How many times did you try to walk and fail??
