Greetings!
The tradition of the New Year's Resolutions goes all
the way back to the early Roman's. They had a
tradition of exchanging gifts on New Years Eve by
giving one another branches from sacred trees for
good fortune. New Year's Eve has always been a
time for looking back to the past, and more
importantly, forward to the coming year. It's a time
to reflect on the changes we want to make in our
lives.

Resolution/Goal Setting Success |
 |
New Year's resolutions are essentially goals made on
New Year's. Approximately 100 million Americans will
venture down this well traveled path, making hastily
written, ill conceived goals. It is a route covered with
promises and according to a recent study, 80% of
those making resolutions have failed by January
20th.
So what is the secret?
According to a new study done by the University of
Washington, the keys to making a successful
resolution are a person's confidence that he or she
can make the behavior change and the commitment
to making that change.
Change is a process, not a one time effort. To be
successful in making resolutions it is best to:
- Make sure your goals are well defined and
specific.
- Create life balance by setting goals for all areas
of life.
- Have a strong commitment to make a change.
- Have coping strategies to deal with obstacles as
they arise.
- Keep track of your progress and congratulate
yourself on successes.

How to "Design Your Future" |
 |
One way to reach more of your goals is to attend a
goal setting workshop or seminar. There are many
out there to choose from.
Selecting one that you can relate to is key.
This Friday, I am conducting another "Designing Your
Future" workshop. This is different from the average
goal setting workshop in that I give you tools to clear
out obstacles that typically arise with the setting of
a goal. Fear of failure or success, limiting decisions
and
beliefs that are no longer empowering are the kind of
obstacles that we will deal with in this one day
workshop. We also, utilizing hypnosis and NLP,
create the ability to have more resources like,
confidence, motivation and courage in your life.
Call now or send me an email if you are interested in
attending. There are 4 spaces left!
